🫖Preparation: ceremonial, usucha, latte
The Annex's tranquil Chinese-Japanese tea house serving premium ceremonial matcha alongside an extensive rare tea menu. A contemplative counter experience in a quiet Harbord Street space — the right place for Toronto tea culture away from café noise and Instagram curation.

Yun is exactly what Toronto's tea scene needed. The ceremonial matcha is sourced from a small Uji family farm and the preparation is careful and traditional. The Harbord space is serene — no music, just tea. A genuinely special counter.

One of my favourite places in Toronto, period. The matcha here is the real thing — ceremonial grade, hand-whisked, served with real respect for the tradition. And the price is generous for the quality. The Annex has hidden gems and this is the best of them.
